Langhorne Creek

Last night we camped in the tiny winery town of Langhorne Creek. Once again, there were many old buildings.



And many pretty leaves.


Strathalbyn is another nice town we are currently visiting.

The buildings of Robe

Robe is a very pretty coastal town in South Australia...

with it's old brick buildings.

At times, I was in Robe...

And in other times I was transported to Europe.

Earthly Layers

Mount Gambier

One of the lakes in Mount Gambier lays in the crater of an ancient volcano. The interesting thing about this lake is that it changes colour depending on the time of the year. Although it's difficult to tell on this photo, the colour of the lake was a brilliant blue.

During the evening, we fed the possums in one of the limestone sinkholes, which is has been turned into a garden.

Next stop...Mount Gambier and it's extinct volcanoes.

The story so far...

With our things packed, we headed to Daylesford where we saw beautiful autumn leaves.

We looked at old buildings.


And went to the convent gallery. Nerina Lascelles was my favorite artist that I saw at the gallery. I loved her Asian inspired collage work.



This lake in Daylesford, reminded me of Japan.

Goals for this year: Travel around Australia

My next goal for this year has begun. My partner, Dox and I are heading around Australia in a Hyundai Excel, with a tent and a few other basics. We hope to get right round Australia before our budget runs out.

We'll be spending our nights at national parks and doing some hiking. I hope to stop at a few galleries along the way too.

Currently, I'm doing this post at a library, but later on I hope to find a wireless net cafe so I can upload photos from my camera.
