What's Inside...?

A lot of my unpacking has now been done...but there are one or two things left with goodies inside. Let's take a look shall we?

The green piece of fabric with a bonsai print is a tea pot mat. The mat is handmade and the stamp made for the print was from a potato. I purchased the mat from a store in Nikko.

The "color palette" is for stamping. I think I can also use this on fabric too. I thought these might come in handy for when I make cards.

The rolled up papers at the back are maps of where I use to live. I hope to use these in some sort of collage. I don't have many though, so I need to be careful in how I use them.

The black roller is for wood block printing. I only did it once in Japan, but would like to explore that more in Australia. The foam roller is when I want to place large amounts of ink on t-shirts.

And finally, that Japanese book looking thing is actually a tenegui. It was a present from a friend. It's says "Japanese things" A tenegui is a long piece of fabric that is multi-functional. It can be used as a head towel, for wrapping a bento or a present, it can hold things, if wrapped properly. In fact it's uses are only limited to your imagination. But if you do get stuck, there is a tenegui book that can give you ideas. I have a copy ;-).
